    Hey hey hey!!!

Sorry for the late update on my Bangkok trip..

Well, its my 2nd time in Bangkok since 3yrs ago & surprisingly this time, I didn't buy alot of stuff cos out of these 4days I only spent S$270!! Amazing rite??

    See pix ok?

    .
    .

    .

Our hotel, Asia Hotel lobby.. Quite impressive rite? Accordingly, there is a swimming pool & a gym centre somewhere too!

    .
    .
    .

Our room!! Very spacious & a KING SIZE BED!!

    .
    .

    .

After putting our luggage inside our hotel room on day 1, we went to take the Skytrain (BTS) which is conveniently linked to our hotel to Siam station where Siam Paragon, Siam Discovery Centre & MBK are there..

    .
    .

    .

Siam Paragon is jus like our very own Paragon in Orchard, all the high class boutiques were situated there..

    .
    .

    .

After awhile, we decided not to waste our time there & proceed to MBK.. We had our 1st lunch, KFC.. hahahaaa...

    .
    .

    .

2 funny incidents we encountered when we were there.. When we were trying to explore more shopping centres, crossing the roads to another side, suddenly anyone on the street stopped walking & stand still.. Dear told me to stand still as well.. Then I realised that their national song was broadcasted via outdoor radio & its a rule or something that they hav to stop when they hear the national anthem once every morning & evening..

Another interesting incident was, when we were walking on the overhead bridge, a policeman signal us to run faster to the front, like others, we ran for a short distance & then joined the crowd to see what happen.. The traffic on road below was cleared too.. Then we saw a few traffic police motors followed by a VIP car.. Talking about heart attack, I almost got twice mann.. hahaaa...

    .
    .

    Road cleared for VIP

    .
    .

    Stand still, dun move!!

    .
    .

They really have great respect for their King, everywhere we go, there is a pix of him..

    .
    .

Anyway we had our 1st dinner in a small restaurant near our hotel..

    .
    .

    .

    Very sweet watermelon juice

    .
    . .

    Yummy pineapple rice!!

    .
    .
    .

We saw this in one of the shopping centre, Big C...

    .
    .

Best from Singapore?? Hahahaa.. We walked near & found that they r selling coffee bread like those type of Rotiboy bread..

I bought this... nicee & sweet..

    .
    .
    .

We went Chatukchak weekends market, it was so so big & hot that we didn't complete all sections.. Think once u went to some sections, u been to all cos basically they sell the same things.. Alot of household decorations, watches, shoes, belts, bags, T-shirts, accessories, roadsides foods, pets..

    .
    .
    .
    .

This is a very nice dessert, its coconut ice... It only cost a S$1!!!

    .
    .
    .

Waiting for people to buy them home...

    .
    .
    .

Also we covered MBK for 2 times, bought some tidbits from there too.. the T-shirts there cost S$4+ only.. The only thing we abit regret is we never went for the tiger show.. hahaha... cos we afraid that we will get con into a "black" one...

The food is real cheap in Bangkok.. Swensen... Only cost us less than S$10 for this!!!

    .
    .
    .

This steamboat buffet only cos us less than S$5 each.. It work similarly like the buffet in Marina South.. Except the grilling is on top & soup is in the bottom.. We hav difficulty to keep the meat from falling into the soup..

    .
    .
    .

The day I most enjoyed is we went Dream world.. Taking the rides & having loads of fun in their Snow Town...

    .
    .
    .

    SNOW TOWN!!!!!

    .
    .
    .

Some things u really must take note when u r in Bangkok, U MUST ALWAYS ASK THE TAXI DRIVER TO ON THEIR METER... we got cheated twice for an agreement rate only to realise we can get half the amount if they on their meter.. Yah, also try not to go anywhere which will travel more than 1 hr away from ur hotel.. We encountered that.. Some taxi drivers refused to take us back to our hotel when we went Dream world cos it was too far..

Also another interesting fact is, the ladies toilet in their shopping centre is forever available without me having to queue up like in Singapore.. In our hometown here, wherever u go, u hav to queue up for the ladies, cubicles r ALWAYS occupied....

Thai people r very very frenly too.. My own personal opinion, I think they r can easily ranged 2nd after Jap for their excellent customer service..

    That all folk!!

Next entry I shall blog about my taiwan trip.. :)
