During kids time, we love CNY!! There r delicious goodies like ba kwa, pineapple tarts, melon seeds, peanuts, chocolates & cashew nut.... also mum will bought some new clothes, bag & shoes to match.. the most fav is of cos collecting angbaos!!

And years later, when we r older, say in our early 20s, some KPO aunties will never fail to say things like "Aiyo, got bf or not? Never bring ur bf along ah?" "When r u getting married harr?" And that is the start of disliking the CNY.. Also, u no longer buy new clothings using ur parent money.. Also cos u r afraid of getting fat, u no longer eat ba kwa like u used to when u were young..

Then fast forward a few years, u even HATE CNY cos the thought of being mocked by the aunties made u feel sick...

I rem my CNY 3yrs ago was the worst one I ever experienced.. My family had organised a CNY gathering in a Sentosa chalet, relatives were all invited.. I rem I jus brokeup with my ex that time & this particular auntie of mine kept rubbing my wound.. Even though my mum has warned her that I hav broken up with my bf, she still (PURPOSELY) asked "Aaaee? Where is ur bf harr?" Being the nice me, I still replied her in a very li mou tone, saying "We r not together anymore" & she still probed further by asking "Dun bluff la.. Come on, where is he?" Dammn irritating rite?? This auntie is always like that, after she knew I broke up with my ex, whenever gathering she saw me, she will keep asking me when m I getting married, she even challenge me to see if I will get married 1st or she will give birth 1st.. SiaooO..

Well, I have forgiven her for her bluntness but I will never forget her sarcastic remarks..

NOW, I know CNY is still another 7mths away BUT I m already starting to fear again.. cos this time my dear & I r going to distribute the angbaos.. This is the time u really wish that u r still single.. My dear side 's relatives have lotsa offsprings, all the cousins add up to at least 20 of them.. My sis said she will spent around 1.5k for angbaos alone.. *Faint*

So next time, if u see me, dun remind me that I have to bao angbao this coming CNY, I will hit u with my bag I swear... heheh!!
